What's Your Lens?

What's your lens? What is the view that you see things through? Your personality, beliefs, successes, hardships and experiences shape your lens. Figuring out what that is and understanding it is an important part of understanding why you do the things you do.

Not sure what this means or how to go about it?

Here are a few steps to get started:

1. Take a personality assessment - a great free tool here: www.16personalities.com 2. Write out your successes and hardships by age or phase. 3. Write out your childhood environment and experiences and gain an understanding of how that may have shaped who you are today. 4. Ask yourself questions - Why do you do what you do? What is your worldview? What are your short and long term goals? What are your priorities? Do your time and priorities match up? 5. Put it all together and look for patterns and connections - these realizations will help you understand how you operate vs. how you want to operate and you can design a plan with this in mind.
