Throw Off Distraction Like the Plague.

Does anyone else feel like they can’t get a deep breath these days? Just doing life sometimes can feel like a marathon, not to mention the endless stream of email blasts, just plain emails, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, What’s App, GroupMe, text messages....and various other platforms.

WOW.

There is so much noise in our world, it’s sometimes overwhelming and shocking.

I’ve found myself lately desperately searching for a way to block it all out. I don’t want the noise, I only want what matters most in this life, and I want to THROW OFF anything that doesn’t align with that. This might seem extreme, but I believe we are living in a time where we’ve got to be serious about intentionality in our lives. And if we don’t seek to know our priorities and eliminate distractions that don’t align with that, we will forever be saying, “I’ll do that tomorrow”, or “I’ll get to it later.”

Entrepeneurs, the world needs you. Yes, you. The world is waiting for you to get intentional about what it is you were created to be, and walk in it.

This doesn’t mean adding things to your endless to do list. It means clearing away the meaningless things, for the fruitful things.

So right now - I want you to list out 3 things that you spend too much time doing. Don’t say you’ll do this later, because distractions will creep in - and I promise you if you take 5 minutes right now, it’ll be the best 5 minutes of your day. Go ahead, and write those 3 things out.

Now I want you to write out 3 things that you want to spend more time doing, things that matter deeply to you, things that fuel you and those around you.

And finally, I want you to list out 3 action steps you are committed to taking this week to make that happen. Be specific, if it isn’t measurable, it doesn’t happen.

And then.....go do it!

What if we all did this? Every single one of us? What if we lived our lives this way? Throwing off distractions like the freaking plague, in order to get real serious about what matters most? Who would we be? Who would those around us be because of this intention?

The great news, this is so so very attainable for every single one of us, it doesn’t take any qualification or schooling or title, it just takes intention.

Cheers, to making space for kindness, goodness, joy, laughter, time together, quiet, peace, and so many good things we need more of in this world.
